The Terrace and Garden
The garden was in desperate need of grooming, with unkept and overgrown roses bushes and trees everywhere.
Stéphane wanted an unusual fence, and he immediately thought of a green wall. Catherine wanted a wooden swimming pool, and maintenance-free plants that survive the scorching summers...
The plant wall was a mammoth task: hours of research, testing and implementation for a stunning result. Drivers and passers-by often stop for a photo.
It is 30 meters long and has flowers both inside and outside. It is watered by three 15,000 liter water recovery tanks.. .
The 3,200 plants were chosen based on orientation and planted over three months, with the active help of our friends and family.
The bamboos surrounding the terrace come from a plantation in the Landes forest, as does the wood for the cladding.
The boards of the terrace are also Landes pine, and the furniture is either French or found at auction.
